Ray Bradbury died, today.
Ray Bradbury was one of my first and favorite guides on my journey to geekdom. He transcended many of the sci-fi writers of his day, exploring political issues and, at their core, innately human problems and concerns. The Martian Chronicles and Fahrenheit 451 are more than great works of genre fiction, they are also monumental works of literature.
The Martian Chronicles is one of my favorite books; I still reread it, sometimes.
He was a great, passionate writer. He will be missed.
