The proposed measures focused on sane gun control measures, such as banning assault weapons and placing limits on high-capacity magazines. The only mention of video games was a proposal to have the Center for Disease Control conduct research into any links between gun violence and video games and other violent images.

Given all the research that’s already been done in this field, it’s a waste of taxpayer money, but the good news is the video game industry isn’t being made into a scapegoat.
