Closeup: Veins of a dying leaf

This time of year people take lots of photos of leaves. They’re very colorful, so why not?

In this case, I got right up on top of the leaf. Trying to do something a little different, I focused on the veininess of a single leaf and the colors. The arch of the veins are especially appealing for me.

On another note, I got a portrait lens, today, so I’m hoping to start using that in the near future.
