Fruit: Sliced tomato

I guess I could have presented this as an abstract. If I titled it something else, like maybe Comma, you probably wouldn’t have known what it was, since it lacked anything distinguishing to grab onto, telling you what you were looking at.

That works at times, but I felt this was so completely without any moorings that I needed to tell you what it was. The title helps ground the viewer, informing them what they’re looking at, but the work leaves the viewer to look at tomatoes in a new way. I hope.
