The next shiny thing: Marvel Heroes

Here’s the trailer for Marvel’s new MMO, Marvel Heroes. It’s due in the spring. If you’re not anxious to get into the world of Marvel comic book heroes, this trailer’s not going to do much to win you over. In spite of being a huge fan of nearly every Marvel hero (Well, except for The Punisher. Really, revenge is soo 20th century.), the gameplay footage in this trailer left me pretty cold. But it’s just a trailer; a lot can change between now and the game’s release in the Spring of 2013.

What you’ll probably like:

It’s free! What’s not to like, huh?

All the cool Marvel heroes like Spidey and Wolverine are there.

What you might not like:

The combat looks pretty tame for superheroes.

The heroes are all dressed in their lameoid, retro outfits.

The flying raccoon. (Watch the trailer. You’ll see.)
