Getting close: The pink is back

Cherry blossoms are starting to come out in the DC area, so I might have more than a few of these. I might not, too. The blossoms come out fast, but they also blow away very fast. I’m sure I’ll have a few more, though.

Just a couple of thoughts about this, strictly as a photo. Technically, it could be better. I should have set my focus point on the stamens instead of the pedals. I think it would have looked better.

Getting the focus point right is a lot of what macro work is about, and sometimes it’s not easy to do. I took this on a windy day, standing on a slight incline, without a tripod. Yeps, it can be a bit challenging to get the focus point the way I want it, at times.

But the pink and blue sky, the colors, are very much what makes this photo, so here it is. Hope you like it.
