Getting close: Wet, flying buds

It’s been raining a lot in DC, so you’d think there would be ample opportunity to get photos like this. There is, but I don’t have an all-weather camera, so I have to run out as soon as the rain stop and hope all those raindrops are still hanging around.

I think this photo is kind of cool. I like the way the branch seems to “fly” in from one corner of the frame, sweeping towards the middle. The branches have a feel of wings which help the effect.
