Abstract: Cy Twombly on the handball wall

Cy Twombly is perhaps best known for his use of writing in his art. He wasn’t so much focusing on the words, as the gestures and the motion of the used in producing those words. For a more complete idea of the breadth and substance of his work, this bio on the Gagosian Gallery site is informative.

While this photo is graffiti scrawled on a wall, if you look at Twombly’s work, I think you can see why I think this photo is reminiscent of his work.
