Utilities: Silvery and sinuous

If you want the unusual or different photo, it helps to go somewhere unusual or different, someplace people don’t go.

This can be someplace dangerous or hard to reach, like Margaret Bourke-White on a gargoyle atop the Chrysler Building. But it doesn’t have to be. Unusual or different places, places people don’t go, can be right around the corner. Sometimes you just need to get off the main drag.

I like to walk behind buildings, for instance, and see what’s there. I found this duct work behind a DMV building in Arlington.
