Utilities: Red wall, blue meters

I love today’s photo. The colors almost assault your eyes, and I love that.

These meters are on the side of a building, in a place with a fair amount of traffic, both foot and vehicle. They’re very easy to overlook, but the colors just caught my eye, one day.

I know I have a thing for color. I hope I’m using it well. Personally, I prefer more vivid colors, at this point in my photography development. I have noticed, though, that most other photographers prefer more subtle tones.

Maybe that’s the direction I’ll head in as my work becomes more “mature”, but for right now I’m like assaulting the viewer’s eyes.
