I see trees and branches every day. Most of us do. They probably catch everyone’s attention at some time or another. They’re beautiful and complex.
The trick for photographers is capturing that beauty or presenting it in a manageable way. Just photographing a tree is probably going to yield a dull, I’ve-seen-that-before result. And no photographer wants to be dull.
So this is one of my attempts. I focused on the branches and framed them in what I hope is a more interesting way. Presenting them in black and white also helps the viewer focus on the shapes.
